The rituals we take part in change us; they form our sense of identity, our perspective of place, and feeling of embodiment. Through the ritual of making, artists Catharine Rusby Bell, Joel Galenkamp, and Skye Rogers seek to tell the story of the good rituals they take part in, and offer space for others to reflect on their own good rituals.

Good Ritual was the result of the 2023 Summer Artist Residency at Eucharist Church in Hamilton, ON.
It was a collaborative exhibition; mixing the artists’ respective mediums of performance, visual art, and furniture craft & design installations.
After a session of collective grounding, audiences were invited to explore and engage with the various spaces in the church building; encountering performances, hidden installations, and intentional gallery spaces.
Good Ritual was a space to both engage in and carefully consider the rituals in which we participate, and what good can come from them.
